Seasons Greetings from Rhode Island,

Today is the big day and I will have my hand surgery. Due to scheduling problems between the doctor and the hospital operating room, my surgery had to be rescheduled for today.

Before I left, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you, my TS family, Happy Holidays!

May God bless and keep you all,

Best of Holidays to you also, Myrna.

Our thoughts are with you today!

What time?
Do not fear your enemies.  The worse they can do is kill you.  Do not fear friends.  At worst, they may betray you.
Fear those who do not care; they neither kill nor betray, but betrayal and murder exist because of their silent consent.

May every joy of the holiday season be yours, and may the New Year bring you happiness and good health.

And, should your surgeon have questions or problems, well, you know where to send him/her! toothgrin.gif

Hurry back!

Hi Myrna,  I hope your surgery went well, nothing like having surgery this close to Christmas.  I remember 3 years ago Christmas morning arriving in our local hospital's ER.  No fun.
My husband is thinking of having his hand operated on next year; he has what they call Dupuytren's syndrome and the last fingers on each hand won't straigten out flat any more.
I live in North Falmouth on the Cape and my Mac users group is in Newport.
Merry Christmas!
Jane

thanx.gif to all of my well wishers!

The doctor spoke with me briefly after my surgery.

Due to the very specific nature of the court order, he performed only the specified surgery. However, while taking a visual tour during the operation, he was less than enthusiastic about my chances for a complete recovery. Because of the protracted court battle and my subsequent shift in priorities when I was diagnosed with Cancer, the condition of my my hand got progressively worse. Subsequently, he is writing an opinion to my attorney to request further more involved surgery/surgeries.  To all of you who have followed my posts, this more than likely means another court battle, in order to obtain the necessary authorization.

I am not looking forward to going back into the courtroom. I do believe that armed with this current medical evidence, I stand a 50/50 chance of winning my case, before this particular judge.

I remain ever hopeful that I will someday be able to play my beloved Classical music, albeit probably modified versions.

I have been resting or sleeping and wakened just in time to go to Christmas Eve Mass and sing with my choir. I have been practicing since September for our Christmas performance and I wasn't about to miss this. I wasn't feeling too well, but I take my ministry very seriously. I would have felt worse staying at home. I am very happy that I went.

(I think I am getting proficient with my right hand, keying in this message.)
'Bye for now,
Myrna

I'm glad, Myrna to hear that you came through this surgery well... smile.gif

I'm sorry that you have more fighting and hassles ahead of you, sometimes it seems never to end, doesn't it?

I've come to know you as an incredibly strong woman though, so take some time to rest, enjoy the holidays, your family and friends... try not to worry...

You know that we're always pulling for you here and you can always come here to talk about whatever bothers you.

... a big *hug**
