But seriously folks . . .
I'd suggest doing what I did to compensate for mistakes in my first install on our mildmannered G4. Start over. It will take less time than you expect.
Boot from your CD. Wipe the drive with Disk Utility. Partition, as was suggested in proportions mentioned in your earlier thread . . . you've probably got tons of room.
Then, reinstall. Watching really carefully when you are asked any questions during set-up. What you choose now will be what you're stuck with, so avoid intricacies . . . since this isn't a laptop you're carrying around the country. For example, "OK" or nothing has always worked well as a password for me, where it's appropriate to your circumstances.
Watch your spelling, case, unnecessary spaces . . . they'll all be cast in stone. Set-up actually is easy, but take your time.
