It seems to be very picky.

I had failed to delete the opening [] (whatever they're called) in a Reply To window but did delete the [/] at the end.

No go. There was just an error message telling me to correct it.

Why not just expose my incompetence to the world, like before? wink.gif

Kimmer,

I had an issue this morning with the "Metalaxe" skin and the "edit" buttons... was solved quickly by clearing my cache. This was in SeaMonkey, but that may work as well in FF.

I scrolled through all the skins in Safari, FF (2.0.0.3) and SeaMonkey after clearing my cache, so far every skin seems to work and the "Edit" buttons appear to work as well.

FYI, iBook, 10.4.9

HTH,

It used to work to click on the smilie name and it would put the code in your post. Just now, that didn't work from the "Show All" window. (Using Exploder and Windoze)

Empress,

I'm not able to upload a 96 Kb .jpg in the Community Forum this morning, just now.
The error message I get is "Upload failed. You are not permitted to upload this type of file"

I'm using the "browse" feature in the attachments section, no joy. I get the same message in this forum

However, when I use a different one, with a shorter file name I am successful... is there a character limit on the file name for the attachment feature to work??? The file extension is correct, and I've been playing around with some other photos, some will load, some not, but they all have .jpg file extensions, but when they won't load, it's the same error message.

Thanks,

Chris K whistling.gif

Just tried to post a cartoon in the community...do not see the insert that used to be there to insert an item. The "insert special item" drop down is not working.

I may have fixed that.  Please try again.  It's under the reply box as before.  The "Insert Special Item" is something else.

Jennie...all I see under the "Reply window" is "Add Reply   Preview Post"!  I am using TS default skin.

Jennie...ALL IS WELL NOW  I just backed out of TS completely and relogged in...it's  working!!!

Thank you!!!

Cookies dumped (although the link on the front page of the board to clear all cookies won't work for me).

I've logged in and out - again.

Multi-quote still does not function. Instead it takes me to the top of the thread.
The edit button still does not function correctly.
I don't have the ability to attach files.

When I look at my profile, I still see "last visitors", "friends", etc. Not my favorite feature this new profile stuff. It's intrusive beyond anything and it's high-schoolish besides. Just my opinion. wink.gif  Glad I don't have anyone here on ignore.  toothgrin.gif

Go to "My Controls" (link under the banner) and unsubscribe your self from the topic.  Or are you subscribed to the entire forum?  and You want just to unsubscribe from just ONE thread?

I don't know!!!!!!!! Hurt.gif

I'm about to wallbash.gif .

It's just Firefox. Safari works fine here.

I keep thinking it has to be something with javascript? But I'm no expert, and so I'm most likely all wrong about this.

It's annoying. It's the first time I can ever remember having major probs at any board upgrade. wallbash.gif

EDIT done in Safari ... just to be sure. Everything works grand. I can even add attachments with Safari. Multiquote works, edit works. OH WOW! Now I see all kinds of rot in the profile options. Off to reset that junk.

Then switch back to Safari, and quit using Firefox wink.gif  What happens if you move your profile out of user/library/caches/firefox/profiles and start fresh?

I read through your posts, and I didn't see that you had cleared your cache...??? I posted that earlier in this thread...

This worked for me this morning in Mozilla... and I'm not seeing any of your issues in Firefox on my iBook, running 10.4.9

Burnt cookies are all dumped, Jennie what kind of chocolate did you use?

There is a "Toggle Side Panel" button in the lower, left-hand corner of the text entry box, at least in the IBR2 skin, doubt if it's not in all of them. It gets rid of both the small smilies box and the "Quick Access" list. Both lists are still available in the button along the top of the text entry box. I just find the 'normal' entry screen to cluttered and its much harder to review a post I might want to quote from. I'm not sure how the order of posts is created when using the 'normal' reply! dntknw.gif

Sorry things are not working for you as far as javascript goes. Are you sure you don't have it disabled in FF? Or even another Add-ON?

Wooow....

5 Days without internet here and NOW I know how this happened tongue.gif
TS was upgrading the board while I was offline coolio.gif
I think all works pretty well (hey, this new board actually has a request I had 2 weeks ago... less smileys on the reply page), I do like the "previous" and "next" buttons to flip through them though.
Just one thing I have to add here....
I wanted to use the "Forum Options" on the main forum page and it didn't gave me the popup choice menu (where I normally set all other topics as "read" so I don't have to search next time I visit).
I am using "IPB Default Skin (New)" on Camino.
BTW... Didn't like the skins but I read TS is working on that.

Well done administrators clap.gif
