My avatar is kind of special to me because it's something I did with my own two hands. The original hummingbird is a stained glass piece that I did many years ago and it still hangs in the window of my home/office.

When I tried to come up with an original name for my little graphics business, the name Glass Bird Design sounded kinda nice. I scanned the stained glass and made it my logo.




When another name hits me, I plan to change the name of my business. A couple years ago, I looked into buying a domain name. I procrastinated too long... someone got it before I did.  verysad.gif

What's very strange is, not only did they take the name glassbird.com, they actually chose the same font I use in my logo! unsure.gif It's almost like they saw me web site and stole the idea! mad.gif

I think ppbas doesn't allow the live linking, that's why you get "user posted image".  It was in your cache in NS and not in Opera.

You might hust want to leave the url for it and "hope" Bill is curious enough to click..... dry.gif

Thnx Jennie... thought I'd try it because pbase now "says" they allow direct linking. Seems they do, but I put up the url you get by Ctrl+click and choosing to open the image which doesn't work...

Anyway Bill... I got his (the bee's) "mugshot" just by doing a Google search on "Mad Bees" so I think the poor bugger might have been caught by paparottzi hiding in the hedge...  laugh.gif

Just in case any of his gang does show up and cause trouble... my Mom always swore by a paste of this and water to take the sting or itch out of "things"... biggrin.gif

(I like the old toothy grin better)

Sorry for coming in on this thread so late. I saw it over a week ago but did not have time then to reply. Besides I needed to update my avatar.
I chose my screen name and avatar initially because I am an avid Miami Dolphin fan. However; I have always liked dolphins because they are so graceful in the water. Watching them always gives me a pleasant and serene feeling.
Lorraine, thanks for starting this thread. It has been very interesting reading and insightful. biggrin.gif
