From what I've seen so far Mayo. Yep.
Like you, will see when they do come out.

I'll take my quicksilver look anyday.
When the news about the G5s first came out I had a dreaded feeling they were going to have the dual mirror look.
The old brain started thinking towards a motorhome for next years toy. smile.gif
Figured finish off some on-going-projects .. buy a moving tent and then split for a couple of months looking for a lake ta get my feet wet. biggrin.gif

A partially transparent case would of been nice for the G5s.
Similar to the iMacs were once.
From what I've seen of the inside .... incredible!

Here I am running all over the globe trying to find someone who was at the show that took a nice picture of the G5s.
Found a couple who took some pretty good shots.

Then it dawned on me!!! Run over to the Apple store. See if they have some.
Sure enough. Apple store>PMs>Photo Gallery. DUH!
You can even click on them for a larger picture.

Taking a closer peek, the looks might not be that bad.

Three something am ..... say goodnight gracie.   doh.gif

The maximum amount of RAM that a computer can address depends on the processor, and specifically on the number of "address lines" that the procesor has. These address lines are used to create memory addresses. More address lines=greater maximum amount of RAM the processor can use.

For example, the Z80 processor in old TRS-80 computers and the 6502 processor in Apple II systems had 16 address lines. These address lines create a binary number. 16 address lines=65,536 distinct addresses (2^16)=64K. Those computers could directly address 64K of RAM.

The PowerPC G3 and G4 processors have enough address lines to access 4GB of RAM. The PowerPC 970 processor (aka "G5 processor") has more address lines, and can directly address 8GB of RAM.

The more internet roads I walk on the more I am really starting to LIKE the metal casing appearance of the G5!
Not to mention taking a better look at how the inner workings are put together!

So far this site is the best I've found.

You mean transparent just to see the inside than? wink.gif
I mean... i really love the metal case, and i'm drooling to have one.
I don't need to look the inside although it really looks neat (i saw your url, great pictures).
But... i guess i'm somehow who loves metals in designs anyway.
Metal and Glass always (mostly) does it for me blush-anim-cl.gif
From your link to the next page (click on "next iChat" link on that page) will give me an italian page about iChat dry.gif
I'm European... but euhm... there's still some distance between Belgium and Italy and i guess once started in english... why go over to italian sad.gif
(they probably put the wrong link there though).

Hahahaha tongue.gif
Ok, i guess i'm gonna have to ask Smiley or Petra to translate that for me, lol wink.gif
Sure is skandinavian smile.gif

But... i thought the G5 would be smaller than the G4?
While at one of the pictures it deffinately showed to be bigger.... much bigger even ohmy.gif

Still, good pictures yes (i felt like watching a cartoon for it's pictures, and not reading) wink.gif
